21. Boyd House Boyd House Classrooms Restored photo of Boyd house which was used as the first classroom for Trinity; faculty and students were posed in front of house. Later used for female department followed by the Law School.

22. Boyd House Close View Boyd House Close View Dwellings; Classrooms This is a close frontal view of the home in Tehuacana given to the university by Major John Boyd in 1869. Initially it was used as a classroom for undergraduates and later by students of the law department.

Calvert pose for photograph to initiate an 8.3 Million Dollar Capital Fund Campaign as a step toward the completion of the $50 million Centennial Campaign. Funds from this campaign were designated to finance construction of a life science center, an auditorium and communications center, and the expansion of library facilities.

26. Commencement Sunken Gardens Commencement Sunken Gardens Commencement ceremonies; Brackenridge Park (San Antonio, Tex.) After moving to the new campus in 1952, Trinity held its summer commencent exercises in the Sunken Garden Ampitheater in nearby Brackenridge Park. The evening event was held there annually until completion of Laurie Auditorium in 1971. This photo was taken at the summer commencement ceremonies in 1961.

Completed Administration Classroom Building Completed Administration Classroom Building School administration buildings Referred to as ""the Pride of Limestone County,"" Trinity's administrative classroom building was completed in 1892 with the addition of the south wing. In addition to the chapel which seated 600, the building contained 26 large rooms designed for classsrooms, laboratories, society halls, offices, and a library.

28. Davis M. Prendergast Davis M. Prendergast Prendergast, Davis M.; College trustees Prendergast was one of the founding trustees of the university and Board President for many years. A resident of Mexia, he also taught in Trinity's Law Department. He served as a trustee from 1869-1900.

35. Eugenia B. Miller Fountain Eugenia B. Miller Fountain Fountains; Miller, Eugenia B.; Ford, O'Neil, 1905-; Cocke, Bartlett; The Eugenia B. Miller Fountain was named in honor of the wife of Cecil W. Miller, Trinity trustee and former chairman of the Board (1957-1960) who presented the fountain as a gift to the university in 1966. Fountains were a special interest of Mr. and Mrs. Miller. Both had studied and photographed the magnificent fountains of old Europe during their extensive travels abroad. Located initially in a green circle of live oaks and grass near the main entrance to the Trinity campus adjacent to Stadium Drive, the fountain was moved to its present location in 2004. In the fountain's design, Trinity architects O'Neil Ford and Bartlett Cocke incorporated three major elements: an expansive bowl at ground level; a large graceful urn in the center of the bowl; and a crown sitting in the center top of the urn.

The photograph was made for public relations purposes. Guenther Park commemorated a gift of land contributed to the Trinity campus by Pioneer Flour Mills in memory of Erhard R. Guenther in 1946. The park area was completed in 1953.
