165. William Beeson tombstone William Beeson tombstone Sepulchral monuments; Beeson, William S. This is the tombstone of William Beeson, Trinity University's first president (1869-1882). It is located in the Tehuacana cemetary not far from the original university building.

166. William S. Beeson William S. Beeson Beeson, William S.; College presidents Beeson was Trinity's first president (1869-1883). A veteran of the Confederate Army, Beeson had previously served as President of Chapel Hill College in Texas.

167. Women's dormitory Women's dormitory Dormitories; Women -- Education In 1895 at the cost of $6,000, the university purchased a private residence in Tehuacana and remodeled and enlarged it into a dormitory for women. President L. A. Johnson and his wife lived in the house as supervisors.
